Our monthly info slot for a ‘hot topic’.....Focus on..........

Winter
Look Good-The harsh Winter weather and central heating in our homes can play havoc with our skin. To ensure you stay looking good this season, try out our top tips:
v  Exfoliate and moisturise to remove dead skin cells and hydrate, using products suited to your skin type
v  It’s said time and time again, but drinking plenty of water keeps you hydrated inside and out- at least 2 litres each day
v  Protect your skin when you go out by wrapping up warm, using lip balm and wearing gloves

Feel Great-At this potentially stressful time of year...
v  Resist the urge to grab the sugary carbs! Treat yourself to lots of wholesome goodness such as soups, stews and lentils
v  Although it might be the last thing you want to do, make the most of the beautiful bay and take a walk. It releases all those endorphins and gets your circulation going too
v  Don’t get caught up in the stress of Christmas shopping. Take some time out for you whether that is a nice hot bath, a massage or getting lost in a good book

Think Well-The festive season isn’t the best time of year for everybody...
v  Seasonal Affective Disorder can affect up to 7% of the population at this time of year. More information can be found on http://www.sada.org.uk/
v  As people look ahead to ‘New Year New You’ and you’re not sure what direction you want to be heading in, come and try our Well-being Assessment to help you build your plans
v  And don’t forget, if you find yourself stressed at anytime-take a step back, deep breath and count to 10
